Giulia’s dream to be a triple champion in WWE is already over

SmackDown fans were in for a treat tonight (Feb. 6) when Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY came over from Raw to defend the WWE women’s tag team championship against the number one contenders, Kiana James and Women’s United States Champion Giulia.

Even though Giulia didn’t win the women’s Royal Rumble match, Kiana reiterated in a pre-match promo that Giulia can still become a triple champion at WrestleMania 42. I assume that means Giulia will be in an Elimination Chamber qualifying match. Regardless, in order for the Beautiful Madness to have a shot at triple gold in WWE, the challengers needed to win this bout.

Well, that didn’t happen. Not only did they lose, but Giulia actually took the fall when she succumbed to the champs’ finishing moves.

Perhaps it means nothing, but it was less than a week ago when Kiana actually out-shined Giulia in the women’s Rumble, and now Giulia is the one getting pinned in their tag team match. Is she becoming the weak link of their partnership?
