A fireball was seen flashing over New England late Friday night.
A photo captured from New Hampshire’s White Mountains shows a brilliant green light shooting through the sky.
Other videos shared online showed a fireball over New England as well.
And the American Meteor Society reported dozens of fireball sightings at the same time across New England and into both Canada and the New York City area.
Fireballs are especially bright meteors, visible over a wide area. Friday night’s fireball sighting comes during the peak of the Orionid meteor shower, which NASA says is known for having a beautiful appearance.
