School closings, delays in Massachusetts for Monday, Feb. 23

A nor’easter is set to hit Massachusetts on Sunday and continue through Monday, eventually blanketing the state with up to 16 inches of snow in some areas.

The National Weather Service has issued a Blizzard Warning for Boston and coastal communities, and a Winter Storm Warning has been issued for the rest of the state.

Wind gusts of 40 to 60 mph could threaten to take down trees and power lines, leading to a high risk of power outages across the state.
