Netflix Sets ‘Untamed’ Season 2 Recurring Cast

EXCLUSIVE: The recurring cast of Netflix‘s hit series Untamed is taking shape with the addition of 7 new actors: Myra Molloy (Girls Like Girls, He’s All That), Matthew Keoni Sato (Doogie Kameāloha, M.D.), Robbie Magasiva (Rescue: Hi-Surf, Wentworth), Branscombe Richmond (Wrecking Crew, Chief of War), Moronai Kanekoa (Rescue HI Surf), Joe Tippett (Monarch, The Morning Show), and Luciane Buchanan (Chief of War, The Night Agent).

From Mark L. Smith and Elle Smith, Untamed is a character-driven mystery-thriller that follows Kyle Turner (Eric Bana), a special agent for the National Parks Service who works to enforce human law in nature’s vast wilderness. The investigation of a brutal death sends Turner on a collision course with the dark secrets within the park and in his own past.

In its second season, the series follows Turner as he’s called to investigate a mysterious death in Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park, where local tensions and the volatile, living landscape become an unpredictable force.

As we announced earlier today, Moon Bloodgood and Kekoa Kekumano have been cast as series regulars working alongside the previously revealed Shea Whigham. Kelly Hu will recur as Awapuhi.

A breakdown of who the 7 new actors will play can be found below.

Molloy will play Addy Hale, the youngest member of the Hale Ranch family, who has a wild streak despite her family’s traditional values. She finds herself caught up in Turner’s murder investigation.

Sato will play Kaden Burkart. Kaden works for his father, Ray (Shea Whigham), and is dedicated to the family business.

Magasiva will play Lt. Ochi. Longtime Hawai’i Police Lieutenant and Pana’s boss. 

Richmond will play Ikua Hale. Owner and patriarch of Hale Ranch, which has been in the family for six generations, Ikua is untrusting toward outsiders. 

Kanekoa will play Ti Hale. Ti is a proud and territorial wrangler on the Hale family ranch. His traditional values are challenged by his daughter Addy’s wilder side.

Tippett will play Casper Kane. A lone wolf, Casper is never in one place for long. He is competent in the wilderness and living off the land; he’s looking to leave his mark.  

Buchanan will play Ku’ulei Pana, who grew up on the island, making her well-connected, and is the Detective with Hawaii PD assigned to the murder investigation.

As we recently reported, unlike Season 1, which was filmed in British Columbia, standing in for Yosemite, Season 2 will be shot in Hawaii. Like Season 1, it will consist of six episodes. Production is slated to begin in the spring.

Untamed‘s executive producers include Mark L. Smith, Elle Smith, Bana, Wells and Erin Jontow via John Wells Productions, which is under an overall deal with Warner Bros. Television; Todd Black and Tony Shaw for Escape Artists Entertainment; Steve Lee Jones for Bee Holder Productions; and Cliff Roberts for Syndicate Entertainment.
