‘Scrubs’ Revival Premiere Delivers Big Audience On ABC
ABC seems to have succeeded in resuscitating Scrubs. The revival’s premiere tallied 11.36M total cross-platform viewers in its first five days, per Disney.
That includes the audience for the original linear premiere on February 25, as well as linear encores and streaming across Hulu, Disney+ and digital platforms.
Making its return after 17 years, Scrubs also delivered the top-performing ABC comedy episode and top ABC series debut overall on streaming in over a year, since the premiere of Shifting Gears. The company didn’t say exactly how many viewers came from streaming.
The total five-day audience for the premiere is up about 158% from the live + same-day broadcast audience of 4.4M, per Nielsen.
