Meghan Markle Posts Rare Photo of Her Daughter Lili to Mark International Women’s Day
Meghan Markle is celebrating International Women’s Day this year alongside her 4-year-old daughter, Princess Lilibet. To mark the holiday, which not only celebrates the achievements of women around the world, but also “marks a call to action for accelerating gender equality,” the Duchess of Sussex shared a rare photo of Lili on Instagram.
The picture was taken by Prince Harry, and shows Meghan and Lili from behind, sitting on a rock at the beach. “For the woman she will one day be…Happy International Women’s Day 📸: Papa Sussex,” reads the caption.
As Meghan has started to share photos of her children more frequently on her personal Instagram, she tends to keep their faces partially, or completely obscured; such is the case here, as Lili’s face is entirely hidden from the camera.
Today’s post comes just days after Meghan’s As Ever brand of wine, teas, spreads, and small home goods such as candles and bookmarks, cut ties with Netflix. “As ever is grateful for Netflix’s partnership through launch and our first year. We have experienced meaningful and rapid growth and As ever is now ready to stand on its own,” a spokesperson for As Ever said on Friday. “We have an exciting year ahead and can’t wait to share more.”
Netflix issued an additional statement, which read: “Meghan’s passion for elevating everyday moments in beautiful yet simple ways inspired the creation of the As ever brand, and we are glad to have played a role in bringing that vision to life. As it was always intended, Meghan will continue growing the brand and take it into its next chapter independently, and we look forward to celebrating how she continues to bring joy to households around the world.” As T&C’s Emily Burack previously reported, it is understood that the split was amicable.
