EA and Battlefield Studios have just released a trailer for the first season of Battlefield 6 post-launch content, including a peek at the massive Blackwell Fields map and a new game mode.

Blackwell Fields is a gigantic map set on an air base in California, where air and land vehicles will be available in large-scale game modes. Covered in oil wells, much of the map will be on fire too, which should add some spice to your online matches.

In addition Season One is coming with Strikepoint. This new game mode is a 4v4 occasion, where each player gets one life per round. There are also going to be new weapons and vehicles coming with the Season One update, including the APC, the SQR-300 Carbine, the Mini Fix sniper rifle, and the GGH-22 pistol. Lastly, two new attachments are coming to the game. These are the LPVO sight and the Rail Cover.

Season One of Battlefield 6 is set to go live on the 28th October. It’s split into three stages in total, the first being dubbed “Rogue Ops” which we’ll experience next Tuesday. In this first stage, you’ll be getting everything mentioned above. More maps, modes, and gizmos to play around with will be coming as early as November.

This marks the first major update for Battlefield 6, following a series of smaller bug fixes and balance adjustments. The game has proven exceptionally popular, selling over seven million copies in less than a week and quickly breaking series records.
