ACC basketball tournament scores, schedule, results: Duke holds off Virginia to win conference title game

With Selection Sunday almost here and March Madness right around the corner, it’s crunch time in conference tournaments around the country.
Duke needed to rely on its defense to close out Virginia.
The Blue Devils didn’t score a basket from the floor over the final 2:49 of Saturday’s ACC tournament title game but still eked out a 74-70 win over Virginia to lock up the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA tournament.

After Virginia cut the lead to two with six seconds to go, Duke star Cam Boozer was fouled by the Cavaliers. After missing two free throws in his previous trip to the line, Boozer extended the lead to four with 3.9 seconds to go with two makes and ended Virginia’s chances for the win.
