The 98th Academy Awards, hosted by Conan O’Brien, will take place tonight at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles and will televised live on ABC and Hulu.

Ruth E. Carter looks to make Oscars history
Ruth E. Carter could become the first Black person to win three Oscars.
She is nominated for Best Costume Design for her work on “Sinners.”
“We do this for the audience. We do this for the fans. We do this for the storytelling,” she said tonight. “I was with a great team of collaborators (on ‘Sinners’).”
Carter said she hopes that she is an inspiration for the next generation of filmmakers.

Recording Academy CEO says he excited the Grammys are moving to ABC
CEO of The Recording Academy Harvey Mason Jr. says he’s excited that the Grammys will be coming to ABC next year.
“We’re honored. We’re looking forward to the partnership. We’ve been in one home for 50 years, so this could be new energy. Hopefully, we’ll make great progress and do great things,” he said.
As for the Oscars, Mason said he’s a music and movie junkie, and excited to be there.

The actress is part of a special musical performance segment honoring ‘Sinners’ at the Oscars.
“It’s going to be amazing,” she said. “It’s so packed with amazing people that you might be over-stimulated. I’m over-stimulated, so I’m so excited. I saw some of my idols, and I short-circuited when I saw them.”
