‘If the Vikings need me, they know I’ll be there’
Hopkins played 17 games for the Baltimore Ravens in 2025 but was used sparingly, making three starts and catching 22 passes for 330 yards and two touchdowns. It was the lowest yardage output in any season of his career.
After seven seasons in Houston, Hopkins linked up with Murray in Arizona, where he spent three seasons. In 2020, the wideout put up 1,407 yards and six TDs on 115 catches with the QB. The duo put up some incredible highlights, including the famous “Hail Murray” to beat Buffalo in Week 10.
Hopkins, 33, isn’t the same player whom Murray force-fed once upon a time, but he can still play a role as a big-bodied wideout and red-zone presence.
The Vikings are headlined by Jefferson and No. 2 Jordan Addison, but lost big slot Jalen Nailor to Las Vegas in free agency. Minnesota could be in the market for a low-cost veteran who could fill snaps in Kevin O’Connell’s offense.
“I just want to be around good people, man, that love the game,” Hopkins said. “Just be able to give some knowledge, if I can, to some young players. I’ve played this game 13 seasons, so I think it’s a blessing to be able to see other guys grow and help their development.”
