Golden Retriever Falls off Chair While Asleep but Doesn’t Wake Up
Humphrey really takes the whole “falling asleep” thing way too literally. You know those naps where nothing can interrupt them, not even a fall? This video of a young Golden Retriever from the TikTok handle @ylilnoon lands exactly there. It starts after everything has already happened, which somehow makes it funnier. One second, he was comfortably asleep, and the next… well, he’s not where he was anymore. And still, nothing changes for him. Same deep sleep, same calm energy, just in a completely different position that no one saw coming.

The clip starts right after the big fall, and Lily is in total shock, filming the aftermath. She says she can’t even make this up. “Oh my god, he just fell off the chair and he is genuinely sleeping,” she exclaims. The chair is empty, and Humphrey is just a pile of fur on the floor. But not just lying there normally, he’s flipped over in this strange position, head down, legs up, body twisted, and somehow still asleep.
And then Lily gets the camera low to show his face. You can see him, as one person in the comments called it, like a “sleepy little pretzel”. This Golden Retriever is clearly very flexible because there is no way you can hold that position and actually sleep in it.
There is even a little photo in the corner of the video showing him sleeping on the chair earlier. But now he is just a heap on the floor. He stretches a little when his mom talks, but he doesn’t move an inch. He stays right there in his dreamland.
The post has over 201.3k likes, and the comments are full of “this is how I wake up with a sore neck” and “it’s called falling asleep for a reason,” which honestly fits way too well. Lily wrote that she wants what he’s on to stay asleep through any disruption. Don’t we all?
