Bills news: Buffalo’s biggest remaining roster questions
Since the initial wave of free-agent signings, the Buffalo Bills have been relatively quiet in free agency, which means the team still has several lingering questions to answer when it comes to the state of their roster.
With the NFL Draft set to begin in one month in Pittsburgh, PA, today’s edition of Buffalo Rumblinks leads off by examining the three most pressing roster concerns Brandon Beane and the Bills have, including the question of who will replace David Edwards as the team’s starting left guard.
Bills still have questions at left guard, cornerback, inside linebacker
The Bills took care of one of their biggest offseason priorities when the team brought back starting center Connor McGovern on a four-year deal, but Buffalo wasn’t able to keep David Edwards, which created a vacancy at the left guard spot.
Who will start at left guard remains one of the biggest issues president of football operations/general manager Brandon Beane must figure out, but it’s not the only lingering concern. Among the other concerns on Buffalo’s roster, there are some questions around whether second-year pro Maxwell Hairston is ready to assume a full-time starting role opposite Christian Benford, and how inside linebacker Terrel Bernard will fit in Jim Leonhard’s 3-4 defense.
