Buffalo Bills sign C Lloyd Cushenberry, WR Trent Sherfield and C/G Austin Corbett to one-year contracts
WR Trent Sherfield Sr.
He is a familiar face to One Bills Drive, previously playing for Buffalo in 2023. In his first stint as a Bill, Sherfield had 11 catches for 86 yards and one touchdown.
Sherfield spent the 2025 season with the Denver Broncos and on various practice squads. Over 10 games and three starts with the Broncos, he had three receptions for 21 yards. He was waived by Denver on Nov. 15, 2025, and joined the Arizona Cardinals’ practice squad four days later. On Jan. 13, the New England Patriots signed Sherfield to their practice squad, released him 11 days later then resigned him again.
Sherfield started his career with the Cardinals in 2018. They signed the wide receiver as an undrafted free agent out of Vanderbilt. In three seasons with Arizona, Sherfield had 28 receptions for 340 yards and one touchdown in 44 games. He also made four starts in his first stint with the Cardinals.
Sherfield’s preseason performance earned him a spot on the San Francisco 49ers’ 53-man roster ahead of the 2021 season. He caught nine passes for 87 yards and one touchdown that season before signing a one-year contract with the Miami Dolphins for the 2022 season. There he had 30 catches for 417 yards and two scores. Sherfield’s first touchdown as a Bill was scored against Miami in Week 18.
After his first season in Buffalo, he signed with the Minnesota Vikings where he spent the 2024 season. Sherfield had eight receptions for 83 yards and one touchdown over 17 games and one start.
