Crimson Desert dev has started R&D on a Nintendo Switch 2 version
It remains to be seen if Crimson Desert will end up on Nintendo Switch 2, but at the very least, developer Pearl Abyss has some interest.
During a shareholders’ meeting, CEO Heo Jin-young Crimson Desert addressed the possibility of bringing the game over to Nintendo’s console. He pointed out that the team would need to deal with lower specs, but Pearl Abyss has “begun R&D with interest.”
The full statement is as follows:
“Compared to other consoles, the Switch still has lower specifications, so there are things we would have to give up. Internally, we have begun R&D with interest.”
Crimson Desert just launched last week. The open-world action adventure has players going on a journey to rebuild the Greymane faction and to save the land from a looming threat.
