During a trip abroad, Knight recalls how her baby started to have trouble breathing, prompting her to call 911 and eventually end their vacation early
Maia Knight shared an update on her son’s health as she continues to seek answers about his symptoms.
On Thursday, March 26, the mom of three posted a nearly three-minute TikTok video recapping how her youngest child has been doing since he tested positive for Influenza A at the end of November 2025. As Knight, 29, explained, her son “never fully recovered” from the virus.
“I feel like he did get better, but he still had some lingering congestion,” she said. Then, about a month later, the baby — whom she and husband Jake welcomed in July 2025 — came down with what Knight is “99 percent sure” was respiratory syncytial virus (RSD).

Knight recalled how when she started feeding him “solids,” he began throwing up. “It wasn’t every day,” she noted. “I couldn’t find a pattern to it.”
With permission from her son’s pediatrician, she was able to take him to Iceland, but while abroad, Knight said her infant — whose name has not yet been revealed — started to cough and was having “trouble breathing,” prompting her to call for emergency services. They eventually returned home from the trip early.
“Literally, I’m traumatized. We had to call 911. Like, horrible,” she continued in the video posted to her 7.6 million followers.
Knight said her son threw up throughout January and February. “I stopped giving him solids, because we weren’t sure if it was a food allergy type thing, and he was still throwing up for like weeks and weeks. I spent so much time on the phone with my pediatrician crying because I was just so stressed out,” she recalled.
The content creator — who is also mom to twins Violet and Scout, 5, from a previous relationship — said an ultrasound ruled out pyloric stenosis. The doctor’s “best guess” was that the baby was “hit so hard, so young” by viruses that left a negative impact on his gastrointestinal tract, said Knight, and he was having trouble with food while recovering.
“He’s 8 months old now, 8½ months old, and I’ve slowly started giving him some stuff. We hadn’t had any episodes for weeks and weeks and weeks, and last night, I gave him avocado, and he was up throwing up for hours last night,” Knight said. “Honestly, the update is we don’t really have an update, and I don’t know what’s going on with him.”
She admitted that she has “so much anxiety” about his condition, but she isn’t too stressed out about it since he’s still so young. “Food before 1 is just for fun, but if in the next four months he still can’t stomach solids, we’re gonna have some issues, and we’re gonna have to start actually figuring out what’s going on,” she said.

Knight added that her son’s eczema was “so bad” while he was dealing with his flare of symptoms. While she says his skin has improved, she has to be careful with what types of clothes she dresses him in. “His skin literally bleeds, like, so bad,” she told her viewers.
“We’re trying to figure it out, but he’s giving his mom a run for her money,” Knight concluded. “I think I’ve aged about 20 years since I had him.”
