Women’s March Madness scores, bracket: UCLA and UConn back in the Final Four
UConn and UCLA are both back in the Final Four. The No. 1 seeds both pulled away in their Elite Eight matchups in the women’s NCAA Tournament on Sunday to advance to the Final Four for the second year in a row. Top-seeded and unbeaten UConn took out sixth-seeded Notre Dame in Fort Worth for the defending champs’ 17th Final Four appearance in 18 seasons.
The win improved the Huskies to 38-0 in the season, and it was their 54th win in a row. UConn will face either South Carolina or TCU on Friday in the Final Four.
UCLA, meanwhile, has now won 29 straight games of its own. The Bruins trailed by double digits against No. 3 Duke, but Lauren Betts fueled a strong second half that has UCLA two wins from its first-ever national title. Duke, meanwhile, has not been to a Final Four since 2006 and has now lost six consecutive Elite Eight games, an NCAA Tournament record.
