Measles confirmed at Safeway in Portland, health officials say
PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — People who visited the Safeway at 2800 S.E. Hawthorne Blvd. within the last week may have been exposed to the measles, the Oregon Health Authority said Thursday.
Officials released the specific times and dates of possible exposure.
- Between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Thursday, March 26.
- Between 2 p.m. and midnight Friday, March 27.
- Between 2:20 p.m. and 6 p.m. Saturday, March 28.
- Between 2 p.m. and midnight Sunday, March 29.
Health officials have also announced other measles exposures.
The first happened at a Gresham Winco on March 7.
Then on Wednesday, health officials announced another exposure at Providence Portland Medical Center’s emergency waiting room on March 30.
Then they learned of two more exposures.
One at Lark Café in West Linn on March 27, between noon and 3 p.m. and another in Gresham at Pho.Com restaurant on March 25 between 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
If you were at these locations during those times and dates, call your doctor so they can check your vaccine records.
