Target and Best Buy celebrate Mario’s 40th anniversary with special products (UPDATE)

You never know how Nintendo is going to celebrate anniversaries for their characters. Sometimes they don’t even recognize the milestone, and other times they go all-out. Nintendo has certainly provided quite a bit of content related to Mario’s 40th anniversary, and the latest products to honor Mario’s 4 decades are heading to Target.

The latest Target flyer includes not one, but two different Mario items that you’ll only be able to pick up through Target locations. As you can see above, Target will be offering a $100 Mario 40th anniversary gift card that comes in a special collectible box. Obviously you’ll have to cough up $100 to snag this item, but at least you get something pretty unique in return!

Along with that, Target is also offering something special for those who purchase any Mario game. So long as you plop down cash to buy a Mario title at Target, you’ll be given a special Mario 40th anniversary poster as well. You can get a much closer look at that poster below.
