Raymond NH police shooting, shelter in place – NBC Boston
Police are searching for an “armed suspect” accused of shooting a police officer in Raymond, New Hampshire, on Saturday afternoon, and area residents are being asked to shelter in place.
New Hampshire State Police said the situation started when Raymond Police were called to a home on Ham Road for a report of a man shooting at his family members. When officers arrived, the suspect opened fire, hitting one of them.
The officer was taken to the hospital. Their condition was not released.
The gunman ran away and remains at large, police said Saturday evening. There is an active search underway.
The suspect is described as a middle-aged man, 5-foot-11, 202 pounds, with black hair and hazel eyes. Anyone who sees someone matching this description should call 911.
The man is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached, State Police said.

Raymond police said in a social media post at 2:48 p.m. Saturday that Ham Road is closed due to police activity, and residents are being asked to avoid the area and Route 156. Residents of Ham Road and Nottingham Road have been asked to shelter in place. Others should avoid the area.
New Hampshire State Police said in a post on X at 3:09 p.m. that they are assisting Raymond police with “an active search for an armed subject.” They said residents in the area of Ham Road and Nottingham Road should shelter in place until further notice.
Reni Mylonas, who owns nearby Agape Cakes and Confections, was working through a busy Easter weekend when the situation started.
“We’re keeping an eye out,” she told NBC10 Boston. “We have our cameras locked and loaded, we’re making sure nothing happens, all our doors are locked.”
Raymond police posted an update about the shelter in place around 3:30 p.m.
In an update at 4:30 p.m., state police said the search for the armed suspect is still ongoing.
