CM Punk threatens Pat McAfee, tells TKO to lower WWE ticket prices
World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk kicked off this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, seemingly to address Roman Reigns, his opponent at WrestleMania 42. He did just that, but it was mostly the same venom he’s been spewing for weeks now. Not much new material there.
Where things got interesting was when he said he wouldn’t be silenced and then started shooting from the hip on the hot topic in the pro wresting industry right now, Pat McAfee. He outright said he has a receipt coming for his comments on Friday Night SmackDown last week (not to mention on his ESPN show today), called him Pat “MAGAfee,” and then said he should tell his agent, Ari Emanuel, to lower ticket prices.
Yes, he really said all this on WWE television.
The above clip cuts off before he hits the line about lowering ticket prices, something I can only imagine won’t go over super well higher up in the company but will go over incredibly well to some others. Surely much of this is going to be covered on some future episode of “WWE Unreal” on Netflix but from the sounds of the various reports and rumors going around, there could be a legitimate political war playing out on television from the creative team having to deal with influence from higher up.
Everyone seems pissed, but at least we’re getting promos like this!
