Chris Jericho brings The List to AEW, and guess who just made it?
One week after his slightly-spoiled but still pretty-shocking return to AEW last week, Chris Jericho was back on Dynamite for the April 8 edition in Edmonton, Alberta.
If there was any doubt after last week’s return “home”, Jericho is a babyface (at least for a bit). The first-ever AEW World champion looked back at his career, talking about how he’s taken risks throughout. Some of those didn’t work, but many did, like the decision to help start AEW. So he’s back out of love for pro wrestling, and to help the company in anyway he can.
But before he could sign his new contract, he was interrupted by The Demand. Ricochet put over Jericho, but not as much as he put over himself as he implored El Nuevo against coming back.
Jericho revealed that his contract would allow him to face whoever he chooses at Dynasty this Sunday, and while he botched a cheap pop mention of Edmonton Oilers star Connor McDavid (saying Conor McGregor instead), he got to his big finish. Ricochet just made The List!
Playing the hits should help Jericho as he works off bad vibes from his last AEW run, and works through cheers he’d get from some upon returning no matter what kind of character he plays. Eventually he’ll need to break out something new, though. For now, we’ll see how he does with Ricochet this Sunday at Dynasty in Vancouver.
