Prince William, Kate forced to make changes about home amid Andrew antics

Prince William and Kate Middleton are just two weeks away from officially moving into their ‘forever home’ in Windsor as they decided to speed things along as furore surrounding Prince Andrew intensifies.

After the Prince of Wales played a major role in forcing his disgraced uncle to relinquish his royal titles and honours, there have been “advanced talks” taking place to finally remove Andrew from the 30-room mansion Royal Lodge amid protests from the public.

Earlier this week, it was revealed in the National Audit Office report that Andrew had only paid an annual rent of “one peppercorn” – a legal term for a symbolic amount to make an agreement valid.

Apart from the Epstein scandal and the various damaging details coming out about Andrew, one key reason why William is pushing for the shamed royal to move out is his wife, Princess Kate, according to an insider.

“Catherine shudders at the thought of living so close to Royal Lodge while Prince Andrew is still in it,” the source told Mail on Sunday.

The Prince and Princess of Wales have been living in Adelaide Cottage for the past three years with their three children, but the insider explained that they were “forced” to take that decision.

They had initially wanted to move to Royal Lodge, but Andrew was adamant to stick to his 75-year lease on the royal residence.

Now, the tables have turned and “it’s not about what Andrew doesn’t want to do anymore. It’s about what he’s going to be told to do”.

They added, “William wants him gone before they start to move in next week.”

William and Catherine’s home, Forest Lodge, is also situated on the Windsor property but it is much bigger than their former home.

The Georgian mansion provides a calming and a backdrop of greenery for the Wales children, Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7. However, the former Duke of York regularly goes horse-riding in the fields and woodland nearby.

The parents hope that Andrew could be evicted soon so they wouldn’t have to see them.
