Welcome To Derry’ Episode 2 Gets Early Release On HBO Max

Episode 2 of HBO’s horror drama series It: Welcome To Derry will be made available almost three days ahead of schedule to celebrate Halloween. It will debut Friday, October 31, at 12:00am PT/3:00am ET on HBO Max. The episode will premiere on HBO as scheduled on Sunday, Nov. 2, at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.

This is a one-off exception tied to the holiday. Subsequent episodes of the eight-episode season will continue to be released Sundays on HBO and HBO Max leading up to the season finale on Sunday, Dec. 14.

Set in the world of Stephen King’s “It” universe, Welcome To Derry was developed for television by filmmakers Andy Muschietti and Barbara Muschietti and Jason Fuchs, with Muschietti directing multiple episodes.

The cast includes Jovan Adepo, Taylour Paige, Chris Chalk, James Remar, Stephen Rider, Blake Cameron James, Arian S. Cartaya, Amanda Christine, Matilda Lawler, Clara Stack, Madeleine Stowe, Rudy Mancuso as well as Bill Skarsgård reprising his sinister character Pennywise from the movies.

Produced by HBO and Warner Bros. Television, It: Welcome to Derry is executive produced by Andy Muschietti and Barbara Muschietti (through their Double Dream production company), Fuchs, Brad Caleb Kane, David Coatsworth, Skarsgård, Shelley Meals, Roy Lee, and Dan Lin. Fuchs, who wrote the teleplay for the first episode, and Kane serve as co-showrunners on the project.
