Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ release date from federal prison has been revealed.
According to Complex, records from the Bureau of Prisons lists Combs’ current release date as May 8, 2028. That date would mark roughly three years and seven months since the mogul’s arrest in New York City in September 2024.
Combs’ release date could come even sooner with “good conduct time” earned while serving his sentence, offering a sliver of hope amid a grim chapter.

Combs was convicted of two counts of transporting individuals across state lines for prostitution — a violation of the federal Mann Act — but was acquitted of the more serious racketeering and sex-trafficking charges.
His trial featured startling allegations of drug-fueled “freak-offs” involving male escorts and his former girlfriends, including singer Cassie Ventura, in hotel rooms while Combs watched and sometimes filmed.
Yet the partial acquittal spared him a potential life sentence, and the prosecution’s demand for over 11 years behind bars ended up being pared.

Meanwhile, Combs’ camp has confirmed that their client is actively pursuing a presidential pardon from Donald Trump. However, a White House spokesperson blasted reports that a pardon for Combs is seemingly imminent, declaring that there’s “zero truth” to these rumors.
“The President, not anonymous sources, is the final decider on pardons and commutations,” the rep said in a statement.

Trump himself has said he and Combs were once friendly but that the rapper became “very hostile” during his political rise, a factor he acknowledged makes any clemency decision “more difficult to do.”
In other news, Combs’ request to be housed at a minimum-security prison in New Jersey, which he cited would bring him closer to his family while receiving the rehabilitation he needs, was denied by a federal judge, the latest defeat amid the hitmaker’s precipitous fall from grace.
