Chris Evans is taking on a new role — fatherhood.
The “Captain America” star, 44, welcomed his first child with wife Alba Baptista over the weekend, TMZ reported Tuesday.
The couple’s baby was born on Saturday in Massachusetts.
The outlet did not specify the infant’s name or sex.
Reps for Evans and Baptista did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
In June, fans speculated that the pair were starting a family after the actress’ dad, Luiz Baptista, responded to a fan account wishing himself and Evans’ dad, G. Roberts Evans III, a happy Father’s Day.
Luiz commented, “Many thanks dear Chris. Your turn is coming! 🥰”
The Marvel star, notably, told Access Hollywood in November 2024 that he “absolutely” wanted to have children.
“I hope so,” he said of becoming a father one day. “The title of dad is an exciting one.”
He and Baptista, 28, wed the previous year, with the duo enjoying two wedding ceremonies in Portugal and Massachusetts.
Evans’ dog, Dodger, whom he adopted in 2017, was not part of the event, the groom confirmed to “E! News” that August.
“He’s too excited, too much of a social butterfly,” he quipped. “He never would’ve stayed on task. He would have wanted to say hello to every single person. He probably would’ve stolen the show.”
While it remains unclear exactly when Evans began dating the “Warrior Nun” star, they went public with their romance in 2022.
Despite keeping their engagement under wraps, Evans did talk about popping the question after their nuptials.
“I proposed to my wife in Portuguese,” he told the Knot in a June interview. “She’s Portuguese, so I learned how to say ‘Will you marry me?’ in Portuguese. I had practiced it all week.
“I got really nervous when it came time to do it,” Evans admitted. “I actually think I screwed it up, but I still know it.”
