Chris Evans has reportedly become a daddy. On Tuesday, TMZ reported that the actor had welcomed his first child with wife Alba Baptista on Friday. According to the outlet, Baptista gave birth to a baby girl named Alma Grace on Friday in Massachusetts. More women should give their daughters a name that is just one letter off from their own, it’s a good move.
Evans and Alba, a Portuguese actress, have been together since 2021, but news of their relationship broke only after they had been dating for over a year in November 2022. On Valentine’s Day in 2023, Evans hard-launched their relationship with a series of very cute photos on his Instagram Story. Later that year, in September, Evans and Baptista got married in Massachusetts with a handful of his Marvel co-stars in attendance.
The most dedicated of Evans’s fans have been speculating about a possible baby for months now. Per TMZ, back in June a fan account for the couple posted a Father’s Day tribute to their respective dads (Content is content!) and tagged them. Baptiste’s dad, Luiz, apparently kind of confused by who had tagged him, commented, “Many thanks dear Chris. Your turn is coming! 🥰”
For those of us who don’t keep up with what goes on in Chris Evans fan-account comments, this news is pretty surprising. But congratulations to the happy couple and to the city of Boston, which just gained a powerful new Red Sox fan.
