The Nittany Lions’ shocking, early season disintegration and the subsequent firing of coach James Franklin has left Ohio State as roughly a three-touchdown favorite for what was supposed to be a clash of the titans.

The Buckeyes have lived up to their end of the bargain, as the reigning national champions enter with the nation’s best scoring defense by a wide margin. Redshirt freshman quarterback Julian Sayin has also emerged as the nation’s most-efficient passer, making the the Buckeyes the most dominant all-around team. While things have slipped off the rails for Penn State, the Nittany Lions remain a talented team that should be amped up to play the role of spoiler as college football enters the final month of the regular season.
