The San Francisco 49ers made a flurry of moves ahead of Sunday Night Football. George Kittle has officially been activated from the Injured Reserve list and will play in his first game since Week 1. Tight end Brayden Willis was waived. The team also activated defensive tackle Kevin Givens from the Injured Reserve.

Edge rusher Trevis Gipson was promoted to the active roster from the practice squad, while wide receiver Malik Turner and offensive lineman Nick Zakelj were elevated.

Turner has only played when Jauan Jennings sat out. However, an injury to Marquez Valdes-Scantling has left the Niners in a difficult spot, with Ricky Pearsall already sidelined.

Zakelj might be insurance if Dominick Puni can’t play or doesn’t make it through four quarters. Puni’s knee injury has hampered his play in a way that the team may not have a choice but to shut him down and let Puni heal.

Fred Warner was officially placed on the Injured Reserve list.
