Why was Channing Tatum in the hospital? If you looked at Tatum’s Instagram Wednesday, you may have been wondering just that. Tatum post a pic of himself in a hospital gown, with surgical gauze on his head. “Just another day,” he wrote. “Another challenge. This one is gonna be hard. But whatever. Let’s get it in.” But if you were only looking at grid, you made a rookie mistake. Grid is only half the story on IG. Honestly, maybe only 12% of the story. On Stories, Tatum elaborated that his shoulder had separated. He underwent surgery to have it screwed back into place. Tatum posted Before and After x-rays, one with a “Separated shoulder” and another with a “Screwed shoulder. Yay.” Tatum did not disclose how his shoulder had come to be separated, but dude is a hoofer. You don’t make something as sublime as the “No Dames” segment of Hail Caesar! or the final dance of Step Up without putting some miles on your bod. At least whatever happened occured after Tatum’s latest film, Josephine, wowed at Sundance.
