Nicole Kidman is helping her daughters navigate heartache over their “broken family.”
Although Kidman is reportedly in a “good headspace” since her split from Keith Urban, a source told Us Weekly Friday that “the hardest part is navigating the dynamic with their” children.
“The last thing Nicole wanted was a broken family,” the source said, adding that the actress, 58, raised Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14, “to be strong.”
The insider noted that Kidman’s “focus [is] on creating new traditions with her daughters and keeping their home life as steady and loving as possible.”
The “Big Little Lies” star is reportedly staying “very busy” since work helps her to “push forward.”
“She isn’t necessarily trying to find her new normal throughout all of this, because they had been quietly separated for a while now,” the source explained. “This next chapter feels more like a transition than a shock.”
Kidman’s rep has yet to respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Days after her split from Urban made headlines last month, Kidman stepped out for Paris Fashion Week with her girls.
The trio posed for photos at the Chanel spring 2026 show — and Kidman showed off a fresh set of breakup bangs.
Earlier this month, an insider told Page Six that the Emmy winner is “sad, but moving on” after filing for divorce from the singer, 57.
“She’s … making sure her kids are taken care of,” the source confirmed of Kidman, who is seeking to be the “primary residential parent” of the teens.
The “Practical Magic” star “did not want the separation and was trying to save things,” we hear.
In the months leading up to their split, Urban seemingly hinted at marital problems.
The country music star complained about being “lonely and miserable” on his competition series, “The Road,” which was filmed before their separation.
During the premiere, he also reflected on the song “Straight Line” off his most recent album, “High,” and shared that it’s about “wanting to break out of a soul-sucking routine that you might be stuck in.”
Urban elaborated, “Maybe in a relationship, a job, with creativity, with yourself … whatever it is!!”
As rumors swirl that Urban may have been romantically involved with his much-younger guitarist Maggie Baugh, speculation remains unconfirmed.
