Adult with measles visited high school in Clark County while contagious, officials say
RIDGEFIELD, Wash. (KPTV) – Clark County Public Health says an adult with a confirmed case of measles was at a local high school while they were contagious.
Health officials say the person, whose vaccination status is unverified, was at Ridgefield High School from January 14 through January 16 while they were contagious.
Anyone who was at Ridgefield High School during those days and has not been vaccinated or has not had measles in the past are at risk of getting sick, according to the department.
Clark County Public Health says they are working with Ridgefield School District to identify students and staff who are not protected against measles.
No other public locations have been identified as possible exposure sites in this case.
Community members who gave questions about the vaccine or are unsure if they’re protected should contact their healthcare provider.
Vaccination records are also available through Washington’s MyIR Mobile system.
