FX is bringing Adults back.

The network has renewed the comedy for a second season, which will stream on Hulu. The series was created by Ben Kronengold and Rebecca Shaw, a writing duo who got their start on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and is exec produced by Nick Kroll and others.

Adults follows a group of twentysomethings in New York trying to be good people, despite being neither “good” nor “people” yet. Malik Elassal, Lucy Freyer, Jack Innanen, Amita Rao and Owen Thiele play five friends crashing together in Samir’s childhood home, where they share their meals, anxieties and, occasionally, toothbrushes.

Whether they’re trying to get ahead at work, navigating the healthcare system, hosting a dinner party or dating in the age of Find My Friends, the group is finding that nothing about the real world is simple, and all their best intentions tend to make things worse.

The eight-episode series premiered in May.

Charlie Cox and Rachel Marsh recur, while D’Arcy Carden, Ray Nicholson, John Reynolds, Will Ropp, Grace Kuhlenschmidt, Julia Fox, Tala Ashe and Lilah Guaragna have guested.

Kronengold and Shaw exec produce alongside Kroll, Sarah Naftalis, Jonathan Krisel and Rob Rosell. It is produced by FX Productions.

Kate Lambert, EVP FX Entertainment, said: “Ben and Rebecca are incredibly talented writers, and they have expertly and hilariously captured the experience of being a young adult in today’s world. The entire cast — Malik, Lucy, Jack, Amita and Owen — is exceptional in bringing it to life in a way that has truly connected with its audience.”
