Ariana Grande is changed — for good.
The “Wicked” star has officially returned to her brunette hair, saying goodbye to her Glinda-blond era after three years of playing the Good Witch in the movie musical.
The 32-year-old pop star unveiled her natural color transformation in a mirror selfie posted to Instagram Wednesday morning, showing off glossy brown curls styled in soft waves. “it’s good to see me, isn’t it? ✨” Grande captioned the photo, which quickly racked up more than 1.8 million likes.
The “Yes, And?” singer made sure to credit her glam squad, tagging London-based hair colorist Francesco De Chiara, hairstylist Alyx Liu and makeup artist Michael Anthony.
De Chiara — who first bleached Grande’s dark hair blond in October 2022 for her dream role — reposted the photo to his Instagram Stories with the caption, “Here she is 🥰❤️❤️,” also commenting, “We’re back amore 🤎🤎.”
Fans flooded the comments celebrating the return of brunette Ari. “Ahhh brown hair is back!!” commented one follower, while another wrote, “another moment for the history book.”
Grande’s makeup artist Anthony chimed in, “My GORGEOUS muse ✨ 🤎✨.”
Grande’s hair has been blond since she began filming director Jon M. Chu’s two-part adaptation of the Broadway musical.
The first “Wicked” movie hit theaters in November 2024 after a months-long press tour that saw Grande commit to full method dressing in a parade of pink, Glinda-inspired looks.
The sequel, “Wicked: For Good,” is set to premiere Nov. 21, 2025, but it appears the Oscar nominee is ready to leave her character’s blond locks behind ahead of the next press cycle.
Before “Wicked,” Grande was known for her long, dark brunette ponytail — a look iconic enough that she even dedicated a song to it. (In “hair,” the pop star sings, “Know this ain’t usually mе / But I might let it down for ya.”)
This isn’t the first time Grande teased a return to brunette this year. In April, she briefly reverted to brown for her “Brighter Days Ahead” short film — part of the deluxe version of her “Eternal Sunshine” album — wearing her auburn hair up in a sleek high ponytail.
Fans went wild at the time, though her brows remained bleached and she returned to blond shortly after.
