Arrest made in Newport Beach road rage incident caught on video

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (KABC) — An arrest has been made in a Newport Beach road rage incident involving a BMW driver and a pair of cyclists that was caught on video.
The incident happened on March 21 along Pacific Coast Highway. On Thursday, investigators served a search warrant in Corona and arrested Samir Weiss, according to the Newport Beach Police Department.
New video shows an apparent road rage incident in Newport Beach involving a BMW driver and a pair of cyclists.
Weiss is facing charges of assault with a deadly weapon and obstructing or delaying arrest.
Police also confiscated the blue BMW seen in the video for evidence purposes.
The cyclists say the driver of the BMW veered into the bike lane, forcing one of them to jump onto the sidewalk to avoid being hit.
They also said a passenger in the BMW threw water at them before the vehicle sped away.
