Bills reportedly give Josh Allen much-needed weapon with trade for DJ Moore | Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills are acquiring wide receiver DJ Moore from the Chicago Bears, multiple media outlets reported on Thursday.

The Bears will reportedly receive a 2026 second-round draft pick in exchange for Moore and a 2026 fifth-round selection in the deal, which cannot be processed until the new league year begins on 11 March.

The reported trade will give 2024 MVP Josh Allen a solid weapon in the Bills’ passing game, which has suffered in recent seasons due to a lack of reliable receivers for Allen. Moore will join fellow wideout Khalil Shakir and tight ends Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox. It also reunites Moore with Buffalo head coach Joe Brady, his offensive coordinator with the Carolina Panthers from 2020-21. Moore topped 1,100 receiving yards in both of those campaigns.

Chicago were able to move Moore given the ascension of Rome Odunze, who they selected with the ninth overall pick in 2024. The Bears also selected Luther Burden in the second round last year.

Moore, 28, recorded career-low totals in catches (50) and receiving yards (682) to go along with six touchdowns in 17 games last season. He has 608 receptions for 8,213 yards and 41 touchdowns in 131 career games with the Panthers (2018-22) and Bears. He was selected by the Panthers with the 24th overall pick of the 2018 draft.

Moore is under contract through the 2029 season and is due to make $23.5m in 2026.
