Bronson Reed biceps injury forces change to WWE Raw finish
Update:
Michael Cole annouced during Raw that Reed had suffered a distal biceps tear and would be out of action indefinitely.
Original story:
Bronson Reed suffered an injury during Raw.
Reed took part in a three-way match against Jey Uso and Original El Grande Americano on Monday to determine the final spot in the men’s Elimination Chamber match. At one point in the match, he dove in to break a pin attempt and immediately noticed something was wrong with his right shoulder, exiting the ring as he was tended to by WWE medical officials who held up the ‘X’ sign. The bout continued with Jey Uso scoring the victory, pinning Americano after a frog splash.
Bryan Alvarez is reporting that Reed is currently in medical following the match. Both he and WrestleVotes report that Reed was originally planned to win the match.
This would be the latest injury to strike the group, which was formed in the months following last year’s WrestleMania. Seth Rollins suffered a torn rotator cuff last October at Crown Jewel, forcing him to take time off. Earlier this month, Bron Breakker underwent emergency hernia surgery following an angle that took place on the Raw following the Royal Rumble, putting his WrestleMania status into question.
