Celine Dion Paris Concert Dates Announced
After making a triumphant return to the stage by the Eiffel Tower at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics, Céline Dion has now officially confirmed her concert comeback. The pop legend unveiled the details of her upcoming concerts during a posh birthday celebration at the Café de l’Homme in Paris, overlooking the landmark — the dates appear below.
While the singer was not in attendance at the event, a video message was broadcast on a screen at the Eiffel Tower, which was illuminated in tribute, with a choreographed light show set to Dion’s most greatest hits. “Over the last few years, every day that’s gone by, I’ve felt your prayers and support, your kindness and love. You’ve helped me in ways that I can’t even describe, and I’m truly fortunate to have your support,” she said. “This year, I’m getting the best birthday gift of my life…I’m getting the chance to see you, to perform for you once again in Paris, beginning in September! I’m feeling good, I’m strong, I’m feeling excited, obviously a little nervous, but most of all, I’m grateful to all of YOU! I love you all and I’ll see you soon!”
Details about the shows were not immediately announced, but the press release says the shows will feature “her most beloved hits in both French and English, a powerful tribute to the songs that have defined her remarkable career around the world for generations.” The concerts are produced by Concerts West, AEG Presents, and Inter Concerts.
As Variety confirmed last week, the pop icon is set to perform a string of concerts this fall at Paris La Défense Arena, marking her first major series of live shows since stepping away from the spotlight in 2022.
The dates are:
Saturday, September 12
Wednesday, September 16
Saturday, September 19
Wednesday, September 23
Saturday, September 26
Wednesday, September 30
Saturday, October 3
Wednesday, October 7
Saturday, October 10
Wednesday, October 14
Details on tickets appear below.
The announcement caps several days of mounting anticipation across the French capital. On March 23, posters featuring titles of Dion’s iconic songs, including “Pour que tu m’aimes encore” and “The Power of Love,” appeared across Paris, while a video shot overnight on Sunday showed rehearsals at the Eiffel Tower, which lit up with the messages “Celine Dion” and “Paris, I’m ready.”
France Télévisions further fueled speculation ahead of the reveal, teasing an announcement tied to Dion on Monday evening.
Dion had retreated from performing after revealing she had been diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome, a rare neurological and autoimmune disorder that affects mobility and vocal ability. Her battle was chronicled in the 2024 documentary “I Am: Celine Dion,” directed by Irene Taylor.
Her emotional performance at the Paris Olympics, where she delivered Édith Piaf’s “Hymne à l’amour,” had already sparked rumors of a comeback, with Las Vegas mentioned in reports. But the French Canadian singer has always had a special bond with Paris. Ahead of the Olympics, she had even told Vogue France, “I’ve chosen to work with all my body and soul, from head to toe, with a medical team. I want to be the best I can be. My goal is to see the Eiffel Tower again!”
In the past 24 hours, Dion also wiped her Instagram account, hinting to a carefully orchestrated new chapter.
