Chappell Roan at Grammys 2026 – See photos of her topless look
Chappell Roan is making jaws drop at the 2026 Grammy Awards red carpet.
The award-winning singer brought her signature vibrant glam with a bold twist to the Grammy Awards red carpet at the Crypto.com Arena in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 1, wearing a sheer burgundy Mugler outfit accented with nipple rings, with her front and back bare and a back tattoo on full display. Roan completed her look with black and gold heels, minimal jewelry and her red mane done in curls and braids.
For the red carpet interviews, Roan covered up by draping a matching maroon cape over her look.
Makeup artist Andrew Dahling, who did Roan’s makeup, described her look as “a Mugler medieval fantasy,” sharing they wanted “the look to be sultry and smoky, with a little ’90s influence to honor the era this archival gown comes from.” According to People, Roan’s look was inspired by Manfred Thierry Mugler’s spring/summer 1998 “Jeu de Paume” couture collection, revisited for spring/summer 2026 by Miguel Castro Freitas.
Roan’s makeup featured a “taupe smoky eye with a touch of shimmering liner, paired with what I’m calling a nude-red lip,” according to Dahling.
Ahead of the ceremony, Roan told E!’s red carpet host Zuri Hall that walking the carpet was “the hardest part of the whole night” for her, adding she likes “breaking the mold.”
Roan is in the running for best pop solo performance and record of the year for her standalone single “The Subway,” and she will also be presenting at the ceremony. The song was ranked No. 2 on USA TODAY’s list of top 10 songs of 2025.
