The Washington Commanders held a light practice as they prepare for a home game against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday Night Football. This is a short week after the played the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football . Head coach Dan Quinn ruled out WR Terry McLaurin before practice started. He re-injured his quad while laying out for a catch along the sidelines in the 3rd quarter. McLaurin has missed the previous four games due to the injury he suffered in Week 3, but Quinn said it’s not a long-term issue.

QB Jayden Daniels had his first full practice since suffering a hamstring injury against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 7. He didn’t play vs the Chiefs, but said he felt good at the end of last week, and could have played if needed. Quinn said the plan is for Daniels to practice fully all week, and then he will be evaluated to return to play.

The Commanders had several players get injured on Monday night. LT Laremy Tunsil left the game twice with a hamstring injury after trying it out in the 2nd half. Quinn said he’s got a shot at playing, but they will have a better idea on Friday. DT Johnny Newton left the game with an ankle injury and didn’t practice today. DT Javon Kinlaw was questionable to return with a shoulder injury, but said he was fine after the game and he was a full participant today.

Kicker Matt Gay was ruled out after showing up on the injury report on Saturday with a back injury. He’s still listed with the injury, and he didn’t practice. Dan Quinn said he’s in the mix to play Sunday night. Washington signed Matthew Wright to the practice squad and elevated him for the Chiefs game. He was released the next day, but can always get signed again if he’s still available.

Two players who were on the injury report last week, no longer have injury designations. WR Deebo Samuel has been dealing with a heel injury for the last month and missed the Cowboys game two weeks ago. He was a full participant last week and played vs the Chiefs. DT Daron Payne didn’t practice at all last week due to a toe injury, and his status for Monday night’s game wasn’t clear until the inactives list came out 90 minutes before the game.
