RV There Yet, the first release from indie studio Nuggets Entertainment, has passed 1.3m sales.
The co-operative RV adventure game released on the 21st October to almost immediate interest from the friend-focused crowd, quickly gaining thousands upon thousands of concurrent players. This figure steadily climbed throughout last week, eventually hitting a peak of 100,002 roadtrip enjoyers.
The developers originally announced passing the 1m sale milestone on social media, with an MS Paint illustration to mark the occasion on the 25th of October. One day later on Sunday. 26th October, community manager Jace Varlet noted in a video posted to the Nuggets Entertainment YouTube channel the figure had since reached 1,288,515 sales
That same video addresses the presence of some bugs, as well as the absence of some features due to the game jam origins of RV There Yet. Key Binding is coming, as are additional localisation support, as well as achievements and controller support.
If this origin story for a hit co-operative indie game sounds familiar, Peak also was the product of a game jam. Indeed, it appears RV There Yet continues a recent trend of smaller scope, passionately made indie projects from small-yet-skilled studios. Let’s not forget R.E.P.O, Content Warning, or Lethal Company.
Varlet concludes the video by noting more content is likely coming in the future for RV There Yet, though Nuggets Entertainment is also working on first-person farming game Among The Wild which looks mighty whimsical. Let us know if you’re having fun with RV There Yet below!
