Dana White Reveals Maxx Crosby Found Out About Raiders-Ravens Trade on Way to Power Slap Event
Maxx Crosby found out he’d been traded from the Las Vegas Raiders to the Baltimore Ravens while driving to a Power Slap event in Las Vegas on Friday night, UFC CEO Dana White said at the Zuffa boxing press conference.
White said he was driving to Power Slap when he saw the trade news on his social media feed and called Crosby.
“He was just pulling in to Power Slap, and he just found out at the same time. He didn’t know, either… He turned around, and went home, and said, ‘I’m not going to Power Slap. I’m going to lay low for a few days,” White said.
White added that he expected Crosby to continue living in Las Vegas despite needing to spend the season in Baltimore.
“Obviously, he loves this city. He said, ‘I just paid my house off, I’m not going anywhere,'” White said. “He’s gonna, obviously, continue to live in Las Vegas, but he’s excited about the potential in Baltimore, too, about possibly winning a Super Bowl.”
Crosby played seven seasons for the Raiders, including one in Oakland and six in Las Vegas, after the franchise selected him in the fourth round of the 2014 draft.
The Ravens reportedly traded two first-round picks, including the No. 14 pick in the 2026 draft, in order to acquire Crosby in a trade that can become official when the league year starts Wednesday.
The star defender said in a video posted to social media after the trade that he considered himself “a Raider for life,” and that he wanted to end his career “in a Raiders jersey whenever that time comes.”
At least in the near future, however, Crosby is headed to Baltimore, where he will be tasked with bolstering a defense also starring Kyle Hamilton, Roquan Smith, Nnamdi Madubuike and Nate Wiggins as the Ravens look to rebound from last winter’s playoff miss and make a run behind Lamar Jackson this spring.
