The first domino has fallen in Miami and there could be more to come.
Chris Grier is out as the Dolphins’ general manager, with ESPN reporting he and the franchise agreed to split the morning after a humiliating 28-6 home loss to the Ravens on “Thursday Night Football.”
This season marked Grier’s 26th with the franchise, and he had served as the team’s general manager since 2016.
His Dolphins biography lists he received “full control of football operations in 2019,” and he also served as an area scout, national scout and director of college scouting.
The Dolphins are off to a 2-7 start this season and projected for their worst campaign in Grier’s tenure.
While he built rosters that made the playoffs back-to-back in 2022-23, Miami missed the postseason last year and is all but eliminated this year.
