ESPN brought College GameDay back to Athens in Week 8. The whole crew was brimming with excitement ahead of the massive SEC showdown between Ole Miss and the Bulldogs.
Lane Kiffin’s squad is undefeated, while Kirby Smart’s crew has one loss on the season. Despite that, the latter are favorites heading into this one. We all know that won’t matter to the College GameDay crew, as they make their picks for Saturday’s slate.

ESPN College GameDay Picks for Week 8:
Ole Miss at Georgia: No pick from Herbstreit, as he’s on the call in Athens. The rest of the crew had to put their money where their mouth is. Would anyone pick Kiffin and the Rebels on the road? Not so fast, as everyone is on the Dawgs.
Tennessee at Alabama: Jelly Roll electrified the crowd with his pick of the Volunteers. Nobody would join him with that prediction though, as the rest of the crew is on the Crimson Tide.
USC at Notre Dame: The Trojans and Fighting Irish rivalry is one of the best in all of college football, and the whole crew is ready to watch this one in primetime. Howard is on the Trojans, but the rest of the crew believes in Marcus Freeman’s squad.
Washington at Michigan: A rematch of the 2024 College Football Playoff National Championship Game. The Wolverines won that one, and Saban is the only one thinking the Huskies can get the win this time around.
LSU at Vanderbilt: An underrated matchup inside the SEC. The Commodores are favored, and only Saban is picking against them in Nashville.
Utah at BYU: The Holy War is taking center stage in Provo. The Utes lead the all-time series, but only Saban believes they’ll defeat the Cougars this time around.
Texas Tech at Arizona State: Can the Red Raiders continue to be the flag bearer in the Big 12 this season? They’ll have to go throw last season’s conference champions, and the whole crew believes they’ll be just fine.
Georgia Tech at Duke: The Blue Devils are favored by three-and-a-half — doesn’t matter to the College GameDay crew. Everyone is rocking with the Yellow Jackets, much to the chagrin of the Athens crowd.
