Exclusive: Jhin joins Riftbound with absurdly powerful cards
Fans have been clamoring for him since the game launched, and now it’s finally happening: Jhin is joining the League of Legends card game Riftbound, and you can get an exclusive first look at some cards featuring him here.
There are four cards to feast your eyeballs on, and they’re ones you’ll need to watch out for if you play the best card games. Just as you’d hope for a psychopathic murder-artist, Jhin is a force to be reckoned with in Riftbound. Actually, his debut – which arrives in May’s “Riftbound: Unleashed” expansion, currently up for pre-order via TCGPlayer – is absurdly powerful. Here, take a look for yourself:
Jhin’s combo of ganking (e.g. moving between battlefields, which normally you aren’t able to do) and generating resources on the go is a big deal. Meanwhile, Upstage Comedy’s ability to ready a unit, seemingly multiple times, is a force to be reckoned with.
This third Riftbound set takes us to the jungles of Runeterra, and besides Jhin, it introduces Champion Legends Kha’Zix, Lillia, Diana, and Ivern. There’s also three new mechanics to contend with amongst its 220+ cards; Ambush, XP, and Hunt.
Where to get Riftbound

Actually finding Riftbound can be something of a struggle right now – it’s regularly sold out at the official Riot Games store, and some of the only places I’ve been able to find cards are at Amazon (where the Spiritforged booster box and Rumble Champion Deck are up for grabs), Walmart, and the aforementioned TCGPlayer.
Ambush is a reaction that lets you surprise foes mid-showdown, while XP is a resource you’ll use for special advantages. As for Hunt, it earns you XP when cards with that keyword conquer or hold a battlefield.
Although the full set isn’t available in English until May 8, 2026 (it drops in China a month earlier), players can go hands-on early with the Unleashed Pre-Rift events at local game stores from May 1.
What do you think of Jhin’s Riftbound debut? Will you be adding him to your deck?
