Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Drake London is inactive for Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins.
London had been listed as questionable Saturday with a hip issue. He was listed as a limited participant in practice Friday with a hip injury, but with no injury designation for the game.
London, who leads the team in receiving yards (469) and receiving touchdowns (2), joins quarterback Michael Penix Jr. in being inactive for Week 9. Kirk Cousins is starting in place of Penix, who is dealing with a bone bruise in his left knee.
London, a fourth-year player, also dealt with a shoulder injury earlier this season, but didn’t miss a start. He had 1,271 yards receiving with 100 receptions and nine touchdowns catches last season, all career-high marks.
Penix suffered a bone bruise in his left knee last weekend in a loss to the San Francisco 49ers. He was a limited participant in practice all week and listed as questionable Friday.
Falcons head coach Raheem Morris said Friday that Cousins took “significant” reps with the first-team offense this week in practice — and more snaps later in the week compared to earlier.
