Feds refuse to extend temporary order barring troops in Portland to give judge more time to rule
The federal government this week refused to agree to a brief extension of a judge’s order barring the federal deployment of any National Guard troops to Portland in order to keep the status quo while giving the judge more time to rule on the legal case before her.
U.S. District Judge Karin J. Immergut’s Oct. 5 temporary order, already extended once, is set to expire Sunday.
