Frisco restaurant ordered to cease operations after inspection
One Frisco food establishment was closed and one other had issues with gnats in the latest round of Frisco city health inspections, according to the inspection report.
The report compiled by the Star-Telegram contains data from March 15 through March 28 and 85 inspections.
Frisco health inspections function on a demerit system: A score of 0 is considered perfect, and when the score exceeds 30, the establishment fails. At that time, an inspector may choose to close the business at their discretion.
One establishment failed inspection and was ordered to cease operations:
Chalo India, located at 11010 Panther Creek Parkway, had a score of 46. Inspectors noted issued with moldy food and gnats in the inspection report.
One other establishment was noted to have issues with gnats.
Sweet Rice, located at 252 West Stonebrook Parkway, had a score of 8. Inspectors noted gnats in a warewashing area in the establishment.
