A different YouTuber taped a Galaxy S26 Ultra to a drill machine, which spun several revolutions per minute to see the Horizon Lock’s limitations, and we were genuinely surprised by the results.

A lengthy video posted by the channel Tecnonauta tests various aspects of the Galaxy S26 Ultra, but perhaps the most interesting one was when Horizon Lock was taken to its limits. Under normal circumstances, any user’s daily driving of Samsung’s latest and greatest flagship will probably subject it to a few shakes. The only time we can see video stabilization getting tested on this device is if you’re sitting on a roller coaster.

With the extreme Horizon Lock test, the drill machine goes through several revolutions per minute, so you can expect the Galaxy S26 Ultra to produce some shaky footage, but it’s nowhere near as bad as what the competition has done if those devices went through the same gauntlet. For a company that receives flak over being conservative with its flagship releases, Samsung has truly done wonders with Horizon Lock.

Even the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s camera specifications are inferior to rivals like the Vivo X300 Ultra, but as you can tell from the video above, those details are relevant on paper.
