General Motors (GM) is set to release its Q3 2025 earnings report before markets open on Tuesday, October 21. As such, investors might be curious about what Wall Street expects from the automobile maker.

Looking to Wall Street’s estimates, analysts expect General Motors to report earnings per share of $2.29 alongside revenue of $45.04 billion. To put that in perspective, the automotive company reported EPS of $2.96 and revenue of $48.76 billion in the third quarter of 2024.

Investors will also note that General Motors has beaten Wall Street’s EPS estimate in all eight of its most recent quarters. The company’s quarterly revenue has also surpassed analysts’ estimates in the past eight periods. This means there’s a high chance that General Motors will score another earnings beat when it releases results tomorrow.

According to a recent report from Bloomberg, the U.S. government is considering easing tariffs on the auto industry. This report claims that the U.S. Department of Commerce will announce a five-year extension to an agreement that allows automakers to reduce what they pay in tariffs on imported car parts.

Investors appear cautious ahead of the General Motors earnings report. This has GM stock down 0.5% on Monday but shares are still up 9.96% year-to-date. The stock has also increased 19.31% over the past 12 months.
