Google adds Video Overviews to NotebookLM app on Android, iOS
NotebookLM is adding Video Overviews support and the ability to customize Infographics to the Android and iOS apps.
Heading to the Studio tab reveals the option to generate Video Overviews right from the app. This also means you can now watch past AI videos, with playback speed controls, on Android and iOS.
Meanwhile, Infographics can now be customized by tapping the new pencil icon. Like on the web, you can specify Landscape, Portrait, or Square orientation. Additionally, there’s the ability to select which Sources are leveraged, specify the output Language, and add a custom Prompt before generating.
Release notes also suggest the ability to customize your Slide Deck, but this is not yet rolled out:
- Choose between two formats: Detailed (full details on the slide, meant for reading on their own) or Presenter (clean slides with just the key talking points, meant for supporting while you speak)
- Change the output language
- Change the slide deck to be shorter or longer
- Add a custom prompt to give it a high-level outline or guide the audience, style, and focus (“create a deck for beginners using a bold and playful style with a focus on step-by-step instructions”)
This has been rolling out since last week and we’re seeing wider availability today. Make sure you have the latest update on Android and iOS, while you can try force stopping if it’s not yet live.
